On Wednesday, FX released the newest trailer for season 12 of the hit anthology series American Horror Story, which features Kim Kardashian portraying Siobhan Walsh, a manager-type character similar to her momager Kris Jenner. Kardashian represents Emma Robert’s character, Anna Victoria Alcott, a rising celebrity who becomes pregnant under mysterious circumstances.
Kim Kardashian Makes Her Acting Debut as a Creepy Momager
It’s clear in the trailer that Anna is actively trying to have a baby with her husband, Dexter Harding (Matt Czuchry), while also maintaining a thriving acting career. Once Anna finally does get pregnant, things take a supernatural and creepy turn, and nobody seems to be on her side, including her manager Siobhan.
“Do you want an Oscar?” Siobhan pointedly asks Anna. “Do you want it as much as a baby?” Anna hesitantly replies, “Yes.”
In one particularly hair-raising moment, a pregnant Anna and Siobhan look into a broken mirror and see an ominous message that reads: “Don’t do it, Anna.”
Kardashian’s character takes on an increasingly sinister tone as she starts singing the lullaby “Rockabye Baby” to Anna in a foreboding way while playing with her hair. Kardashian seems to be relishing the chance to portray a creepy, controlling figure – quite a departure from her glamorous public persona.
American Horror Story Franchise Takes New Direction
Delicate represents a significant departure for the award-winning and long-running FX anthology series American Horror Story, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
As revealed by Murphy earlier this year, Kardashian and Roberts will lead the cast of season 12 as the main characters Siobhan Walsh and Anna Alcott. “Emma and Kim are Delicate. This summer,” Murphy posted to Instagram alongside a short video teasing the new creepy storyline.
Following the social media announcement, Murphy commented on the significance of Kardashian’s casting. “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.
While this marks Kardashian’s first collaboration with Murphy, season 12 sees Roberts returning to the AHS franchise after last appearing in 1984. She has also starred in Murphy’s Fox series, Scream Queens.

The new season seems to draw inspiration from classic horror tropes and films like Rosemary’s Baby. It is loosely based on Danielle Valentine’s novel Delicate Condition, a modern spin on Rosemary’s Baby about an actress who undergoes a nightmarish experience at a sinister fertility clinic.
Delicate‘s cast also includes Cara Delevingne as an ominous nurse, along with AHS alums Billie Lourd, Denis O’Hare, Leslie Grossman and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. Zachary Quinto is also set to feature.
American Horror Story: Delicate will premiere on September 20 on FX. The show airs on Disney+ in the UK, where seasons 1-9 are also available on Prime Video.
